Stoneware Coffee Cup - White Magnesium Matte
This white magnesium matte glaze gets its colour and texture from magnesium crystals which have grown in the slow cooling down stage of the glaze firing. The dark speckling comes from iron in the dark stoneware clay that has bled through the glaze due to the reduction fired atmosphere.
These coffee cups were handmade in a series so there may be slight differences in dimension, colour and texture to the one pictured.

Each pot is individually hand thrown and trimmed on the potter’s wheel so no two pieces are the same
Each glaze is the result of a very specific combination of raw materials, clay body and firing schedule
Reduction fired for 12 hours up to 1280°C
