This collection of small bud vases are individually wheel thrown and reduction fired for rich, varied surfaces. Their simple form suits both fresh and dried flowers, or they can be displayed as sculptural objects on their own adding a small touch of handmade character to any space.
This glaze gets its colour from rutile (a titanium dioxide mineral) paired with a specific firing process and clay body. The golden speckling comes from iron in the dark stoneware clay that has bled through the glaze due to the reduction fired atmosphere.
